Empowering Communities Through Collaborative Projects

Empowering Education and Supporting Families
Our Ongoing Commitment

Since July 2022, we’ve been on a mission to make education accessible and sustainable for 50 children by covering their school fees, including the PTA levy. Our commitment to these families goes beyond education, recognizing the importance of supporting the entire household. To lighten the financial burden, we continue to provide grains to the mothers, ensuring food security and stability for these families.

Each year, we gather to celebrate our journey, sharing a community-cooked meal that brings everyone together to reflect, connect, and inspire each other for the road ahead.

Our mission is ongoing—empowering families through education, food support, and community, working toward a brighter future where every child has the resources they need to thrive.

The Gasaki Project: Empowering Women through Regenerative Farming

Through the Gasaki Project, Tara (Gather Nigeria) teaches the women of the Gasaki community regenerative farming techniques. This initiative empowers them with sustainable agricultural skills, enabling them to better provide for their families. As part of the program, Tara also provides essential resources to support their farming efforts and host a gathering to celebrate their progress with a communal meal. This project not only fosters economic growth but also strengthens community bonds.

Sustainable Water and Climate-Smart Farming: May 2023 Milestones

In May 2023, we took a significant step towards sustainable development by installing a solar-powered water pump and storage tanks for the community. These resources, still running strong, have become essential in providing clean water access and supporting our growing initiatives.

This foundation allowed us to launch a community farm, dedicated to the women and their families, where climate-smart and regenerative agriculture practices are taking root. Through these efforts, we’re laying the groundwork for sustainable farming techniques that nurture the land, preserve resources, and strengthen the community’s self-sufficiency for generations to come.

July 2020
Fundraising For a Premature Baby

During a pandemic year when things were very hard we successfully raised over 1 million Naira to cover her hospital bills and negotiated with the hospital for a significant discount. It was a wonderful experience for all of us, to do something outside ourselves for a Mom like us whose only focus was ensuring her baby survived. Very humbling experience. That’s what set us on the path towards more involvement.
